The Planning Division consists of two main functions:

Long Range Planning

This includes forward looking planning functions like updates to the City's Comprehensive Plan and Shoreline Master Plan, as well as the creation and amendment of the City's land use regulations (zoning, subdivision code, critical areas, etc.). 

Current Planning

Processing and review of land use applications for site specific development projects such as site plan reviews, land divisions, critical area permits, site plan reviews, land divisions, critical area permits, shoreline permits, and more.
