Elevation Certificates
A substantial portion of the City of Woodland, East of Interstate-5 is within a FEMA floodplain. Some building and development activity is subject to review under the City's Flood Hazard Ordinance. Floodplain reviews are required for building additions or when mechanical equipment is being added or replaced. (E.G. water heaters, air conditioners, furnaces etc.)
An Elevation Certificate is a document prepared by a professional surveyor to show that building activity is properly elevated to ensure the work is flood proof.
Please contact our Permit Technician at 360-225-7299 to determine whether there is an existing elevation certificate on file for a specific address or to determine if an elevation certificate will be required in order to obtain a permit.
