The applicant is proposing a phased mixed use development in the Highway Commercial (C-2) zone with approximately 7,776 square feet of commercial space and 408 residential units  (approximately 346,864 sq. ft.) in 8 buildings.

Each building will have 972 square feet of commercial space and ground floor parking and 51 residential units in each 44,000 square foot building. The project proposes approximately 2.7 acres of open space including 1.3 acres of active open space and 1,150 feet of pedestrian trail. Access will be from Belmont Loop with a 20-foot gravel secondary access to Old Pacific Highway.

The total size of the site is approximately 18 acres of commercial property zoned Highway Commercial (C-2) and 1.9 acres of Light Industrial (I-1) property to be used for the 20-foot gravel secondary access. 

Status Updates

SEP-22-003 : The city had issued a Determination of Significance (DS) which was subsequently appealed by the applicant. At the appeal hearing, the city agreed to withdraw the DS.

The project was taken off hold and a Notice of Application was issued on April 28th, 2022. Public notice was placed in The Reflector for publishing on May 4th, 2022 and the public comment period runs through May 18th, 2022.

 

The applicant has again placed this project on hold.
