Pacific Road Closure

UPDATE 9/1/2023: Dates of the repairs have changed.

Daytime travelers who use State Route 503 near the Interstate 5 overpass in Woodland, should plan ahead for delays.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 6, Washington State Department of Transportation’s maintenance crews will close SR 503 near the Pacific Avenue/Goerig Road intersection, for pavement patching and repair work.

What to expect

• Wednesday, Sept. 6: The northbound Pacific Avenue/Goerig Street/SR 503 intersection, will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Thursday, Sept. 7: The southbound Pacific Avenue/Goerig Street/SR 503 intersection, will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the closure, travelers will follow a signed detour from SR 503 and Pacific Avenue/Goerig Street, using Dale and Buckeye Streets. Freight trucks will have restricted access and will use a separate detour taking Exit 22 from I-5 and looping back to Exit 21, then following the designated detour signs to Pacific Avenue/Goerig Street or proceeding onto southbound I-5.

Original Post 8/30/2023: WSDOT is doing some road repairs on Pacific Avenue starting 8/30/2023 though 9/1/2023. WSDOT will be closing one lane at a time starting at Dale Street all the way to the light.
